The Objective
OnePoll worked with Vitabiotics Perfectil, a leading beauty supplement brand, on research to assess the most known and trusted brands in its sector. The aim was to provide robust, independent survey evidence on consumer brand awareness and trust, to a standard that could be used to support marketing and press communications.
The Research
OnePoll and Vitabiotics collaborated to ensure the correct questions were being asked to ascertain brand awareness and trust, and that the questions were being asked in a fair way to ensure that data from the study would hold up to scrutiny and be trustworthy.
We conducted online quantitative research, interviewing a sample of over 500 UK women who have taken beauty supplements within the past 12 months. We asked a series of relevant questions and provided data splits by age, region, and frequency of taking beauty supplements. Respondents were asked for their awareness of brands along with how much they trusted them, with pack shots shown along with the brand name to help with recognition.
The Result
A highlight of the research was Vitabiotics Perfectil was confirmed as the most trusted UK brand, followed by Private label and other competitors. Respondents were also asked which beauty supplement brands they have used in the past 12 months, and of those who have used Vitabiotics Perfectil, a huge number (88%) were likely to recommend to a friend or colleague.
Vitabiotics used this information to support marketing communications on both above and through the line. It was also included in the press release and used to help generate National, Regional and Beauty coverage from Perfectil’s recent successful ‘Beauty Myths’ PR campaign.
