After the resignation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson in July 2022, OnePoll delivered an exclusive poll for The Daily Express following the candidates for the conservative leadership race .
The nationally representative poll showed that MP Penny Mordaunt could be the UK’s next PM. When asked who they would most like to see win, Rishi Sunak came first with 26% with Penny Mordaunt in second place on 23%. However, when asked who they would least like to win, Rishi Sunak topped the list again on 25% with Penny Mordaunt fairing far better at 15%.
Furthermore, 40% of brits want to see the next PM cut taxes and 36% want action on cutting fuel duty.
The conservative leadership race continues but Penny Mordaunt may emerge victorious from the middle of the pack.
